Shout Out Thursday: Angelas Paper Art

As part of my blog, Thursdays are for a SURPRISE "Shout Out" to another ETSY store for product information and a review, by me. These stores are ones that I have personally done business with and have been impressed with both their product and service. Today, lets chat about:

Pale Purple and White Hand Rolled Paper BeadsAngelas Paper Art, an ETSY shop specializing in paper beads, cards, paper quilling and keepsake boxes.  The owner and creator of this wonderful and creative shop is none other then....Angela, a native of Chicago with an interior design background and a talent for creating beautiful handmade paper based items.  I recently purchased the gorgeous beads pictured here at the right and they are beautiful!  I'm excited to utilize them in my jewelry designs and am sure you will find something in my store with these soon.  The beads came in a hand constructed envelope made from magazine pages which I thought was awesome.  I appreciate the repurposing and upcycling of items that goes into Angela's work and packaging as it is so important to try to be environmentally friendly today.  I was so impressed with my first purchase that I decided to go back for more....I am waiting for these pretty purple quilled flowers and sand colored beads to show up in my mailbox as I write this.

Shout out Thursday: Nena Faye

"Little Bit Purse" by nenafaye
As part of my blog, Thursdays are for a SURPRISE "Shout Out" to another ETSY store for product information and a review, by me. These stores are ones that I have personally done business with and have been impressed with both their product and service. Today, lets chat about:

nenafaye, an ETSY shop specializing in handmade "clutches, wallets, coin purses, scarves, bracelets and more!"  I came in contact with this wonderful shop and owner last year when I spotted her "little bit purse" while designing a treasury (a member curated shopping gallery) .  Not only did I include the purse in the treasury, I couldn't help but buy it!  It was the one pictured here with this post.  The "little bit" is her own design and there is a great variety to choose from in the store along with other wonderful bright and beautifully made items.  The owner stands by her work, reporting of her items in her store that "I love creating, and I love a bargain, therefore, you will find items that are unique, well made and yet affordable."

All items are made in a smoke free environment and are guaranteed, barring the post office not cooperating, to be shipped by the next day, if not the same day!  Buyers are also promised a free gift with every purchase.

Looking for a unique, creative and useful gift?  Check out the nenafaye shop today!

Shout out Thursday: Chocolate Dog Studio

Embellishment Flowers
As part of my blog, Thursdays are for a SURPRISE "Shout Out" to another ETSY store for product information and a review, by me. These stores are ones that I have personally done business with and have been impressed with both their product and service. Today, lets chat about:

Chocolate Dog Studio, a unique ETSY shop featuring handmade cup cozies, paper goods, cards, jewelry, pin cushions and more!  The owner writes "The cozies are handmade, useful and eco-friendly. I hand make all of the gift tags, cards, and journals. Almost all of the flowers are made from upcycled or recycled paper, junk mail, magazines, packaging from gifts, old gift bags etc.  All jewelry items are made or found by my daughter! They are all listed under K's Jewelry."  This is a shop you can feel good about as the owner creatively tries to help to keep our Earth a little greener while providing you with items of beauty!  I placed a custom order recently for some cute scalloped scrapbook embellishments.  The order was quickly filled, shipped, and the tags adorable!

The shop owner, Karen, not only has a great store but an awesome blog that gives you more insight into her work and who she is.  And in my opinion, you can't go wrong doing business with someone who names her business after a beloved companion, and a chocolate one to top it off!  Take a peek at my own chocolate dog and faithful companion who's picture can be found at the bottom of this blog.

Too much to choose...even for the hard to buy for friends and family!

I love everything handmade!  This probably stems from my own passion to create with my hands, but I really think there is something to be said for the uniqueness and quality you get when purchasing handmade products.  I can spend hours browsing the many shops in the world of ETSY and never tire of all the unique and wonderful creations to be found there.  It is the perfect place to find that gift for the hard person on your list for their birthday, anniversary, Christmas...any and every occasion.  Need some inspiration for a gift for someone or something fun just for you?  Check out my new PROMOTIONAL FRENZY section on the right side of the blog for links to a long line of shops that sell just about everything you could dream of and more!  And don't forget to check out my store for a selection of handmade jewelry, party decorations, origami bouquets, and more!  Pictured here is a pinwheel corsage, a part of my new baby shower decoration packages.
